New for Spring 2007 – Blooming Good Food – Blooming Good Views.
Eating good food outdoors with friends or family is one of life’s finest pleasures.
Spring 2007 will see the introduction of a new
style of al fresco dining at the Gibbon Bridge. We are installing three
individual thatched pergolas, designed by Julian & Christian, in our newly
landscaped garden area. Each pergola, as you can see from the images are
complete with tables, seating and accessories and will accommodate 6 to 12
diners. The pergolas have a unique presence of their own and are ideal for
informal, al fresco dining during the summer months;

We will be serving simple, delicious food with menus and prices to be finalised but we envisage starting with such things as:
An Assortment of Gibbon Bridge Breads with Pates, Terrines, Dips, Chutneys or a Medley of Hors D’oeuvres, Canapés & Crudités or even Homemade Soup.
Main courses may consist of a choice of Gibbon Bridge Pies: Ham, Leek & Cider; Sausage, Apple & Sage; Lancashire Cheese & Onion; Beef & Ale Stew with Horseradish Dumplings or A selection of Weber Roasts: Traditional Full Chicken; Leg of Bowland Lamb; Rib Eye of Beef; Loin of Pork
All served with a range of potatoes, fresh vegetables and salads.
To finish Profiteroles with Hot Chocolate Sauce; Sherry Trifle; Bread & Butter Pudding; Rice Pudding; Platter of Cream Cakes; A Platter of Local Cheese & Biscuits.
We will obviously work with you to produce a bespoke menu for your party. Please contact the hotel for further details -
"Everyone loves the relaxing atmosphere of a barbecue – take in the countryside air as well as the scenery; a rich mix of mouthwatering barbecue aromas; and the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle and wisteria from the patio’s foliage and you will have a dining experience to remember".
Hidden away in the award winning gardens is a cleverly designed patio, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Complete with a specially designed octagonal table with large "Lazy Susan" the patio provides you with an alternative way to dine in an atmosphere that you will want to experience again and again.
Janet will prepare your bespoke menu from a purpose built barbecue, whilst you relax and enjoy mouthwatering dishes from simple lemon chicken to whole baked red snapper wrapped in vine leaves.
Whether for business or pleasure the Al fresco dining area is available for private parties between 12 and 14 people. Menus are tailored to suite your taste and are available from £25.00 per person. Please contact the hotel for further details.
